Library Membership

Membership to the library is free for all members of the community. You must live in Carstairs or Mountain View County to be a member of the Carstairs Library. However, if you have a library card from another Alberta Library, you can use it at our library.

Belong to a library outside the Parkland Regional Library System? (i.e. Marigold, Red Deer, Calgary) visit melibraries.ca to sign up for our library.

To encourage borrowing and reduce barriers, Carstairs library no longer charges late fees on returned items. We do still charge fees for items which have been damaged or lost.
