Accessibility
We want the library to be welcoming to everyone. Here are some of the services we have to help make the library more accessible. Please speak to one of our staff for more information about any of these services.
Pickup Lockers
We have lockers outside the library to allow for afterhours pick up and expanded access to library materials for those that find it hard to come into the library.
Print Disabled Options
Are books hard to read? We've got options to help like daisy readers, audiobooks and large print.
We also work with CNIB and CELA to provide alternative format books. Speak with staff about these options.
Home Delivery
If you are unable to visit the library yourself, volunteers will deliver materials to your home or care facility. We will put together book bundles based on your requests and reading preferences.
Quiet Hour
Everyday the first hour of the day is designated Quiet Hour. This initiative aims to provide a peaceful and less stimulating environment for those who enjoy a quieter space or have neurodiverse and sensory needs. We welcome you to explore our library collection in tranquility
Books by Mail
Did you know we have a direct mail service? If you live remotely, are homebound, or have mobility issues you can request library materials be delivered to your mailbox by Canada Post.
